Policy Development & Guidance

On line / in person workshop

Discuss the benefit of having a menopause policy in the workplace and the organisations approach to all employees experiencing menopausal symptoms at work, including female, trans and non-binary members of staff.

Workshop Details & Outcomes:

  • Understand employment law and how employees are currently protected
  • Agree what support employees can expect to receive during this time
  • Identify the risks of not having a policy could present
    • Low morale and poor employee engagement
    • Higher than average sickness or unauthorised absence
    • Conflict between employees and line manager
    • Increased staff turnover and loss of valuable knowledge and experience

Menopause champions / advocate Training

On line / in person workshop available to all staff

Menopause champions are a great resource to have in a company.  They are trained in more detail about the subject of menopause and how symptoms can impact a person at home and work.  They provide support to colleagues and line managers without judgement or seniority and play an active role in menopause initiatives within the workplace.

  • How the menopause can impact employees
  • Policies, Procedures and Reasonable Adjustments available within the business
  • Legal framework and current legislation
  • Risk Assessments and H&S policy

Conversations around menopause can be difficult for some people and almost impossible for others to manage in front of members of the opposite sex.  Cultural differences can prohibit such conversations in mixed company so it is important to ensure training and awareness is available in a way that is accessible to them.
